“Make a clear difference between terrorists, innocent citizens”: Mehboboba Mufti Urity Center

Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehboba Mufti on Sunday urged the central government to take precautions after the recent initiative and “clear” between terrorists and innocent citizens.

Mufti said that the Center should ensure that innocent people do not bear the results of the terrorist attack and should not be “separated” as it will only promote the fear and divisive agenda of terrorists.

The PDP leader claimed that the common Kashmiris were being arrested and their houses were being demolished, and they were urged for their safety.

In a post on X, the PDP leader said, “The Government of India should run carefully after the recent initiative attack and make a clear difference between terrorists and citizens. The government should not separate innocent people, especially those who are against terrorism.

“The government is urged to direct the authorities to ensure that innocent people suffer the consequences, as the common people only have to separate the fear and divisive agenda of the terrorists,” read his post on X.

Earlier on 23 April, PDP chief Mehboba Mufti joined Srinagar in protest, stating that it was read, “This is an attack on all of us.”

He expressed regrets and said that the attack is not only on the people but also on Kashmirit and requested Home Minister Amit Shah to punish the culprits.

Talking to reporters, Mufti said, “This was an attack not only by the terrorists but also on our Kashmiri and us. I request that the Union Home Minister investigate the criminals so that they can be brought to justice.

Meanwhile, General Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan reached the residence of Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday, so that he could be brightened on the major decisions taken by the army to counter Pakistan after the horrific terrorist attack in Pahgam.

The meeting was called in response to the deadly attack on 22 April, during which 26 persons, mostly tourists, including a Nepali National, were brutally closed.

The incident took place at 2 pm in Besaran Meadow, near Pahgam, a popular tourist city in Jammu and Kashmir.

Following this incident, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) teams posted on Pahalgam Terror Attack Site from April 23 have intensified the search for evidence.

Teams led by an IG, excavation and SP from the T-Anti-Terror Agency are questioning eyewitnesses observing the April 22 attack.

Additionally, the Indian Army is on high warning, many search operations to neutralize terrorists after the attack in Pahgam. The incident has expressed displeasure across the country, demanding strict action against Pakistan on the Pahgam attack, with widespread protests across the country.

Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) got on April 23 and detailed information was given on the terrorist attack in Pahgam. The CCS condemned the strongest point of view and expressed its deep condolences to the families of the victims and expected the initial recovery of the injured.

In briefing, CCS was brought out from across the border of the terrorist attack. It was noted that the attack came in view of the successful hold of elections in the center area and its stable progress towards economic development and development.
