The Bandipora police have registered a case against several social media users to broadcast false and fabricated narratives about the encounter in Kulnar Bajipora Ajas on April 24, 2025.
According to the police statement, based on the information received from several sources, Bandipora police said that these false stories, which have been shared through various social media handles, pose a serious threat to the security of the country and have the ability to disturb law and order in the region.
Taking cognizance of the case, the police have registered FIR number 71/25 under Section 152 of BNS of IT Act at Police Station Bandipora and Section 66 (F). Investigation of the case has been started.
Police said some persons have been caught for questioning about their participation, and further action will be taken as per the law.
The Bandipora police urged social media users to act responsibly and avoid sharing uncomfortable and misleading information.
