A hit-and-run accident occurred today at Ghat Road, Doda, allegedly due to high speed. Local people allege that the presence of illegal FCI trucks on the road, joint with careless driving, contributed to the accident.
According to officials, a vehicle bearing registration number JK14B 4553 was involved in the incident. A 12 -year -old child was seriously injured and was initially taken to GMC Doda. Due to the severity of injuries, the patient has been sent to GMC Jammu for advanced treatment.
Residents have expressed anger over frequent accidents in the region, convicting overspeeding and illegal truck operations to risk public safety.
Authorities have registered a case, and further investigation is going on.
