An Indian -origin doctor has been convicted by an American federal jury to participate in a conspiracy by an American federal jury to conduct health care cheating by distributing patients with unnecessarily unnecessary prescription drugs and illegally controlled substances.
Anand, 48, a 48 -year -old of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, conspired to present false and fraud claims for Medicare, the US Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Independence Blue Cross (IBC), and the health plans provided by the Independence Blue Cross (IBC) and the health plans provided by the Independence Blue Cross (IBC).
The Department of Justice said in a statement that these drugs were sent to patients by in-house pharmacies owned by Anand.
