Israel says one -third of Gaza now under his military control

Arun Jain, 17/04/2025

Jerusalem:

The Israeli army has stated that it is expanding the “Morg Corridor”, a new partition line in the Southern Gaza Strip, and has turned an enclave of almost a third of an enclave to a “security sector” under the entire Israeli military control.

An infographic video released by military showed the “Morg Corridor” to the “Morg Corridor” running through a region between Rafa and Khan Younis, cutting Rafa from Khan Younis and Central Gaza, stating the Xinhua news agency.

In the video, Khan Younis, the largest city of Southern Gaza, appeared almost completely surprised, with only a few seriously damaged buildings left.

“As part of the operation, the IDF (Israel defense forces) have achieved complete operational control over several major areas and routes in Gaza,” the army said in a statement. About 30 per cent of the strip is now nominated as an operational safety circumference. “

In addition to the “Morg Corridor”, Israel has also installed the “Netzerim Corridor” during the war, a military buffer zone in Central Gaza, which aims to separate the Gaza city and the northern Gaza from the rest.

Israel has blocked the entry of all humanitarian aid in Gaza since 2 March.

After this, on March 18, a two -month ceasefire ended with Hamas and the deadly wind and ground attacks on the enclave started again.

The army said that from March 18, it has carried out airstrikes on about 1,200 targets using about 350 fighter jets and other aircraft in Gaza.

Gaza health officials said on Wednesday that renewed Israeli attacks have so far killed 1,652 Palestinians and injured 4,391 others, which has increased by 51,025 since the war started by renewed Israeli attacks.

Israel controls all assistance and supply entry to Gaza.

On 28 April, the International Court of Justice is set to open a hearing on Israel’s human obligations against the Palestinians.

The United Nations General Assembly approved a proposal in December, requesting that the Hague-based apex court give an advisory opinion on the matter.

This asks the ICJ to clarify what to do to ensure and facilitate the immediate required provisions of the Palestinian civilian population to ensure the necessary provisions for the existence of the Palestinian civilian population “.
