An Indian -origin Malaysian man, who hid a puppy in a laundry bag while smuggling from Malaysia from Malaysia, was sentenced to eight weeks in jail and fined SGD2,500 on Tuesday.
Channel News Asia reported that 43 -year -old Mahetharan Ganason convicted for three allegations – an animal without an animal to import an animal and two matters to dissolve the duties of care as an animal owner, with another allegation, taken into account for his punishment, Channel News Asia said.

The accused was paid in SGD60 cash for each visit from the recipient, regardless of the number of animals distributed, although he is usually distributed between one and three animals per trip.
It is not clear how many assignments the accused had completed in Singapore.
‘Mr. Dog’ and man are money to identify Mahnatharan, as well as the origin of animals is unknown.
