Sharad Pawar says that PM Modi's continuous attack on Congress is not a wise decision.

Mumbai:

Nationalist Congress Party (SP) chief Sharad Pawar on Monday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s continuous attack on the Congress is not a “wise decision” as the party is not in power.

Speaking to Marathi news channel Zee 24 Taas in Amravati, he further said that the PM keeps criticizing the opposition parties but does not discuss his government’s or BJP’s plans for the future.

“The Congress party has not been in power for some time. But Modi keeps attacking it and calling it a wall hindering the development of the country. This is not a wise decision. Just because some parties are in the opposition does not mean It is not that they should not be taken into confidence on key issues,” Mr Pawar said.

Asked about Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ recent statement that he has returned to power after splitting the two parties, which was a reference to the split in the Nationalist Congress Party and Shiv Sena, Pawar said he was grateful that the senior BJP The leader himself had revealed this. Truth.

“Lying people, creating a situation that divides the party, then taking revenge on it or influencing some people to take some decisions is not a good strategy. These cannot be called civic political moves. We have the image of Fadnavis She was a decent politician, but now her real face has been revealed,” Mr Pawar asserted.

The opposition veteran was speaking after addressing a rally in Amravati in support of MVA ally Congress’s Balwant Wankhede, who is pitted against sitting MP Navneet Rana.

Rana, who won in 2019 as an independent candidate backed by opposition parties, is contesting the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket.
