American Scotty Scheffler clinched his second Masters title with a chilling four-stroke victory at Augusta National on Sunday.

Scheffler, the world No. 1 and 2022 Masters champion, shot a 4-under 68 in the final round to finish the tournament at 11 under, and the first-time Masters player Swedish player Ludwig Aberg won the runner-up.

It was a classic display of calmness and precision from Scheffler, who stayed focused after bogeys on the fourth and seventh holes to win the back nine.

Scheffler started the round with a one-stroke lead over fellow American Collin Morikawa, but the match took a decisive turn on the ninth hole.

Morikawa made double bogey, Scheffler birdied, and a three-shot swing left 24-year-old Aberg as the closest challenger after the turn.

But after Aberg made double bogey on the 11th hole, the outcome was in Scheffler’s hands, and the 27-year-old Texan secured it with birdies on Nos. 13, 14 and 16. victory.

The win was Scheffler’s third of the season following wins at Bay Hill and The Players Championship last month.
