Those responsible for the Horizon scandal “should be jailed”, the post office minister has said.

Kevin Hollinrake met dozens of people affected by the IT scandal at Fenny Compton, Warwickshire, where deputy postmasters gathered in 2009 to begin their campaign for justice.

The Horizon inquiry will resume this week, with former deputy commissioner Alan Bates, who organized the first Fanny Compton conference, to give evidence on Tuesday.

Speaking on BBC Breakfast on Monday (April 8), MPs for Thirsk and Malton told victims the government was working to “streamline” the compensation process.
