India captain Rohit Sharma has named two players with whom he does not want to share a hotel room. Rohit Iyer and Shreyas Iyer guest-starred in Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show, hosted by famous comedian Kapil Sharma. The episode, in which Rohit and Iyer interacted with Kapil in a relaxed manner, premiered on Netflix on Saturday. During a conversation, Rohit joked that he would never share a room with PBKS captain Shikhar Dhawan and DC captain Rishabh Pant, calling the duo “a mess”.

“Everyone has a single room now. But if I get a chance to share a single room, there are two people I don’t want to share a single room with – Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant. Bade gande hai (They are very messy). After the training, They just throw their clothes on the bed,” Rohit said on The Great India Kapil Show.

Rohit further revealed that Dhawan and Pant slept till late afternoon and their hotel rooms were mostly on “Do Not Disturb (DND)”.

“Their room is always DND because they sleep until 1pm. Housekeeping staff comes in the morning to clean their room, so it is important for them to set the room to DND. Otherwise, they will break in. This is Why do their rooms often stay in disarray for three to four days. This is a problem for people living around them. So, I don’t think I can live with them,” he added.

Rohit led India in the ODI World Cup on home soil last year, but the hosts lost to Australia in the final. He said he expected fans to be angry that they lost the final at home but was surprised by the support he and the team received for their performance.

“I was thinking about the World Cup being held in our country and we still couldn’t win it. I thought the country might be angry with us. But all I heard was people praising how well we played and how much they enjoyed watching that cricket match, Rohit said.

Rohit is currently playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024. However, he lost the captaincy before the start of the season when he was replaced by Hardik Pandya.
