Bangalore:

An over 100-foot-tall building built for religious and cultural events collapsed in Karnataka on Saturday, narrowly missing a power pole and a group of devotees, but they managed to escape in the nick of time. There were no reports of injuries.

This chariot was built for the Huskur Madduramma temple festival held every year at Anekal near Bangalore. Four of these chariots were being transported to town, pulled by bullocks and tractors, when one of them began to tilt.

Video shows one of the decorative buildings being pulled by a bull collapsing, narrowly missing a large telegraph pole, raising a cloud of dust and disturbing some animals. People can also be seen running for cover.

Thousands of people gather in Anekal every year to celebrate the festival, with the chariots being the most eye-catching attraction.
