Manchester: Teenage boy suffers life-threatening injuries after being stabbed

A teenage boy has been seriously injured after being stabbed in Manchester.

Shortly after 4.15pm today, police were called to reports of a stabbing incident in Raby Street.

The boy, whose age is unknown, was taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said in a statement: “A scene in Raby Street, Moss Side, remains open and members of the public will notice an increased police presence in the area over the coming days while we investigate.”

Muzemil Kernain, head of GMP Manchester City Region, said: “We are appealing to the public to provide us with any information they may need, which will be kept strictly confidential.

“I would particularly appreciate any mobile phone or dash cam footage of the incident or its immediate aftermath.”

Police urge anyone with information about the incident to contact them on 101.

Details can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers.
