Sunil Narine smashed an explosive 85 off 39 deliveries to lead Kolkata Knight Riders to a sensational victory over Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024 on Wednesday Team (Delhi Capitals). The knock helped KKR post a mammoth total of 272/7, the second-highest total in the history of the tournament, but it was too much for DC, who were beaten by 106 runs. However, Narine was given a huge lifeline when he handed Ishant Sharma’s delivery to Rishabh Pant behind the stumps, but the DC captain belatedly sought a DRS review after the umpire ruled in KKR’s favour.

Pant was hesitant to go under review and after some persuasion from his teammates, he eventually did but was turned down as time had expired. However, some social media users were not convinced, pointing out that Pant was wrongly denied.

Kolkata Knight Riders continued their winning streak in IPL 2024 by defeating Delhi Capitals by 106 runs. Delhi Capitals set an impossible target of 273 runs but went all out to score 166 runs in 17.2 overs.

Batting first, veteran Sunil Narine and youngster Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored stunning half-centuries The result helped Kolkata Knight Riders score 272 for 7.

Narine smashed 85 off just 39 balls and 18-year-old Raghuvanshi smashed 54 off 27 balls as Washington bowlers scrambled for cover.

Andre Russell made 41 off just 19 balls while Linku Singh made 26 off 8 balls to continue KKR’s dominance throughout the innings. For DC, captain Rishabh Pant smashed 55 off 25 balls while Tristan Stubbs smashed 54 off 32 deliveries.
