Cameron calls on Israel to investigate airstrike that killed Gaza aid worker

By | Published | No Comments

The charity World Central Kitchen (WCK) said a British national was among seven aid workers killed in Israeli air strikes in Gaza.

Seven aid workers from Britain, Australia, Poland, dual U.S. and Canadian citizens and Palestine were killed while traveling in non-conflict zones, WCK said in a statement.

They traveled in two armored vehicles with WCK markings and a soft leather vehicle.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) “expressed its deepest condolences” to the families of the victims and said: “We will uncover the truth and share our findings with transparency.”

Foreign Secretary David Cameron said the victims were “working hard to provide life-saving assistance to those who urgently need it” and the UK “called on Israel to immediately investigate and provide a full and transparent explanation of what happened”.
