A four-year-old boy has been killed after being hit by a minibus while riding his bike on a quiet residential street in Lancashire.
Police said the driver of a Citroen Relay minibus had just started driving when he hit the boy in New Rough Hey, Ingall, Lancashire, at around 4.36pm on Tuesday.
The boy, whose name has not been released, was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after the incident.
Sergeant Matt Davidson of Lancashire Police is now appealing for witnesses and CCTV footage to investigate the incident.

Sgt Davidson said: “My first thoughts are with this little boy’s family and loved ones at this incredibly sad and painful time.”
“His family are being supported by specially trained officers. We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information that could assist our investigation to come forward.
“Also, if you have any dash cam or CCTV/doorbell footage from the area, or any other information that could assist with the investigation, please contact us.”
