Peter Phillips says Kate is ‘brilliant’ and makes a ‘fantastic team’ with William

King Charles III is set to return to public duties and will attend an Easter service at Windsor Castle Chapel with Camilla on Sunday.

The appearance will be Charles, 75,’s first major event since he was diagnosed with cancer in February.

However, the Prince and Princess of Wales are not expected to attend the event due to Kate’s ongoing cancer diagnosis and treatment.

The news comes as a royal writer said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received a calm response from William after they texted their support after Kate announced she had cancer.

The message was reportedly “orchestrated by the palace” and the two brothers, who remain estranged, sounded like “two cautious diplomats”.

According to royal expert Tom Quinn, the Sussexes contacted the Prince and Princess of Wales after their diagnosis but made no suggestion that they “should reconcile and let bygones be bygones.”

He added that it was “hardly the enthusiastic, informal response one might have expected”.
