DJ Khaled criticized for forcing him to take bodyguards with him to keep sneakers clean

The incident took place at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival in Florida, USA.

Popular artist and “sneakerhead” DJ Khaled is facing criticism online for taking two security guards with him so he doesn’t “mess up” his Nike Air Jordan sneakers while walking on the sand. The 48-year-old music producer was criticized by social media users after he posted a video of the incident on Instagram while promoting his upcoming album. In the video, Khalid opened his car door, looked down at the ground and then asked his bodyguards to help him. “I don’t want to get my Jordans dirty. Can I get everyone to help me?” He said while standing up.

The incident took place at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival in Florida, USA. Two of Khalid’s bodyguards caught hold of the music producer and took him to the stage on the back of a golf cart. When security guards lifted him up, Khalid said, “I just want to win.”

The two men then picked up the 48-year-old again from the back of the golf cart and carried him to the safety of the side stairs of the stage. “Thank you, brothers, I appreciate it,” Khalid said as he sat him down. He said, “Can’t mess up JS.”

Khalid posted the video a few days ago and the post has since received over 236,000 likes and 2.9 million views. In the comments section, internet users slammed the music producer for his “disrespectful” behaviour.

“This is the stupidest thing I’ve seen! Get off your bullshit horse,” one user wrote. “How about wearing some sandals and Jordans before walking on stage?” suggested another.

“I’m sure those security guards didn’t expect this to be in their job description. Really DJKhalde?? I’d rather bring another pair of shoes to wear than have my crew wear something like this just for the sake of a pair There’s a lot of wear and tear on their shoes,” another user expressed.

“I have no respect for you! It’s ridiculous that a grown man would do that. Smudge! He talks so much about God and behaves like this over a pair of shoes. Ridiculous!” a fourth commented.

One user wrote, “Was this necessary, rich people, I find this very stupid.” “How about wearing some sandals and Jordans before walking on stage?” Said another.
