The accident killed 11 people and injured nearly 200 people Fire breaks out at a firecracker factory in Hatta, Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday, leading to multiple explosions and triggering panic among locals in nearby areas. One person has been detained in connection with the incident.
The incident took place in the Bailaghar area on Magadha Road on the outskirts of Hatta town, about 150 kilometers from the state capital Bhopal.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs 4 lakh to the families of the deceased and free treatment to the injured.
