Man falls into ditch while taking selfie in MP tourist town; dies

Taking a selfie proved fatal for a man on Wednesday in the famous tourist town of Mandu in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district when he fell into a deep gorge while getting his photo clicked. Police gave this information.

The incident took place at Kakra Kho, a deep valley that attracts tourists in Mandu, about 35 km from the district headquarters, an official said.

Sub-Divisional Officer Police (SDOP) Monica Singh said that the deceased Dinesh Lodhi had come to Mandu from Indore with his three friends.

The officer said that while taking a selfie near a tree, he slipped and fell into the ditch.

Singh said a team of the State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF) later fished out his body from the valley.
