55 year old man from Uttar Pradesh celebrated his 13th birthday two days before his death, villagers in shock

In a bizarre incident that took place in Etah, Uttar Pradesh, a 55-year-old man reportedly committed suicide on Monday. In a shock to the villagers and his relatives, two days later, the man, Hakim Singh, died.

According to reports, Singh had organized the rituals on January 15 and invited around 800 people to the feast India Today, adding that the man did not trust his family members. He suspected that they would not perform his thirteenth act after his death.

According to the villagers, the sick man had realized that his death was near and considered performing the Terhavi ritual as a better option. Singh believed that his relatives would not do the same after he left.

Hakim Singh had also accused his brothers and nephews of forcibly occupying his ancestral land and house and claimed that they had assaulted him earlier also.

Singh’s wife had left him a few years ago. Furthermore, the man had no children.

In another incident reported from Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh, a man accused in a dowry death case slit his throat with a blade inside the court premises.

The man was immediately taken to a nearby hospital and was told that he was out of danger. Meanwhile, the court has adjourned the hearing of the case, officials said.

The man has been identified as Shivam Singh, 35, resident of Pavli village, Greater Noida.

Singh’s wife was found dead at her home, following which her parents lodged a complaint with the Jarcha police.

She was arrested by the police in March 2022 and booked for suspected dowry death under section 304B (punishment for dowry death) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and jailed along with her brother. He is currently out on bail.

Singh was to appear before the Fast-Track Court I of the Additional District Judge, located in Surajpur, as the statements of the complainants in the case were to be recorded.
