Uttar Pradesh is planning to start helicopter services to Ayodhya from six districts – Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Mathura and Agra – by the end of January. Principal Secretary (Tourism) Mukesh Meshram said that the fare for the ride has been fixed by the government.
According to an official statement, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the helicopter service from Lucknow. “To facilitate the pilgrimage for Ram devotees and tourists coming to Ayodhya Dham by helicopter, the Yogi government is starting helicopter services from six districts of the state,” the news agency said. ANI Cited a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
Meshram said that apart from this, the state government is also starting aerial darshan of Ayodhya and Ram temple. He said that for this, helicopter rides will start from a helipad near the tourist guesthouse on the banks of river Saryu. The official said that interested people will have to make advance booking. The yatra will cover Ram Mandir, Hanumangarhi and Saryu Ghat among other places.
