50-year-old man, killed in drive-by shooting outside petrol station

An investigation into the murder has been initiated after shooting a person badly in a clear drive-by-shooting near a petrol station in Yorkshire.

The West Yorkshire police said that the authorities received a report at 9.43 am on Tuesday that a person was seriously injured after firing a vehicle on Doncaster Road near BP Petrol Station in Wakefield.

The victim was rushed to the hospital where he died of injuries.

Police said he is understood as a 50 -year -old man who was living in the local area.

The man’s immediate family is aware and support is being offered by trained officials.

Police said the vehicle involved is considered to be a blue/brown toyota rav4 with a gray trim, with the cloned plates FV53Fxt displayed, and “specific due to the bull light on the roof above the windshield”.

It states that the vehicle used in crime is considered “on false plates and on August 3 in a theft in Castleford”.

James Antavistal, Detective Chief Inspector of the Homoids and Major Inquiry Team of West Yorkshire Police, said: “A man has lost his life, and it is a complete priority for us to understand what has happened, understanding its circumstances and identifying any participation in this event.

“We understand that the vehicle used in this crime was on false plates and on August 3 was stolen in Castleford. The vehicle is particularly specific because due to the fitted bull lights for the vehicle.

“We are interested in talking to anyone, who believe that they have seen this Rav4 after this theft, at the time of this crime and since then the vehicle can now display different plates.

“The motor drivers who were in the Doncaster Road area last night, who have been installed dasheds are also asked to check if they have captured any footage of this vehicle.

“The driver was driving in the direction of Wakefield, before they roamed near the BP petrol station immediately before the shoot and then closed the direction they had come.

“We understand the shock and anxiety that this nature will cause an event, especially given that a gun is involved.

“We are dedicating important resources to this investigation and supporting it with increased presence in the area to assure our neighborhood policing colleague community.”
