According to the Central News Agency’s “Focus Taiwan” report, five earthquakes occurred in Shoufeng Town, Hualien County, eastern Taiwan on Monday in just 9 minutes.
Seismic activity occurred between 5:08 pm and 5:17 pm (local time).

The National Fire Administration said that the earthquake that struck Hualien City on April 3 killed four people and injured more than 700 people, adding that among the injured, 132 were from Hualien County, near the epicenter.
