An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale hit Afghanistan on Sunday, the National Seismological Center said. The earthquake occurred at around 2.26 a.m. IST at a depth of 120 kilometers.

Minutes later, at around 2:47 a.m., a magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.

A few days ago, on March 28, another earthquake of similar magnitude occurred in Afghanistan. The magnitude 4.2 earthquake occurred at around 5:44 a.m. IST.

In early January, a magnitude 6.1 earthquake occurred near Afghanistan. Earthquake felt in Delhi and adjacent areas.

Last October, tMagnitude 6.3 earthquake kills or injures thousands shook western Afghanistan.
