New Delhi:
A speeding car hit three men walking on a road in Uttar Pradesh, killing two.
The incident, which took place on Sunday around 10 pm in Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh when three men were returning home from dinner, was captured on CCTV cameras.
Two of the victims were identified as Moeen and Akhil Ahmed, while the third, Tahir, has been admitted to Baba Raghav Das Medical College and is said to be in critical condition.
In CCTV installed at a shop near the accident scene, three men could be seen leisurely walking down the road when a speeding black car hit them from behind.
The impact of the crash was so powerful that all three men were thrown into the air and landed about 20 to 30 feet from the collision site.
Moeen and Akhil died on the spot from severe head injuries.
Senior police officer Krishan Kumar Bishnoi said they are currently looking for the driver of the car with the help of CCTV footage.
He said the driver would be arrested soon.
