Hilux, one of Toyota’s most powerful pickup trucks, is currently in its 8th generation. It will finally undergo a major facelift in 2024. While making its debut in the international market, this off-road vehicle has undergone many updates from the inside out.

Although the car will hit the international market in March, interested Indian customers will have to wait longer. It will be launched in the country at the end of this year.

About the 2024 Toyota Hilux facelift

For those who don’t know, this is the third time the car has received some changes since its launch in 2015. To make it popular, the company is preparing to change its generation next year and possibly adopt a TNGA-F ladder frame setup.

Major updates

Talking about updates, the newly launched Hilux now comes with a bolder front grille, updated front fascia, revised LED headlight setup and thick cladding on the sides. Gloss black accents with dark surrounds above the headlights are also added to the top spec, making them look bolder than before.

To stand out, the company also introduced a new 48-volt mild-hybrid system. This technology comes with a 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine that offers better mileage with a total output of 201 hp and a peak torque of 500 Nm. This device only pairs with 6AT.

The new Hilux comes with a host of new features. The list includes parking sensors on both ends, dual USB-C ports in the rear, an improved cabin, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and more. There are also optional features such as dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and starting, floor carpeting and all power windows.
