2024 BYD Atto 2 unveiled in China, see Indian launch

Chinese EV maker Build Your Dreams (BYD), which is giving a tough competition to Tesla in terms of sales, has unveiled a new Atto 2 crossover in its homeland. The vehicle will reportedly go on sale later this year and will be known as Yuan Up in the Chinese market.

If rumors are to be believed, the brand may release the car or a similar model in the Indian market as well. However, the company has not yet shared the related details.

When it comes to the European market, the compact EV is likely to go on sale next year. again! Concrete confirmation has not yet been given by the company. It is expected to be priced around GBP 30,000 (approximately Rs 31 lakh).

The all-new Atto 2 will be positioned one step below its tech-loaded Atto 3. The vehicle is developed on the company’s third-gen Electric Platform 3.0, making it safer and better in the segment. Its length will be measured at 4,310 mm, width at 1,830 mm and height at 1,675 mm.

Although BYD has not yet shared the specifications and power figures, reports have revealed that it may come with a single electric motor at the front, which will generate maximum power under the bracket between 94 bhp to 174 bhp. It will be powered by either a 32 kWh or 45.1 kWh battery setup, which will offer a good range of 300 km to 400 km respectively.
