Police on Wednesday claimed to have solved the murder case of a Palghar woman as two men were arrested in Maharashtra’s Solapur and Dhule districts.

Police officials said they identified the victim as 32-year-old Mamta Pawra, a resident of Shirpur in Dhule district.
He said based on the information received, they arrested two persons, namely Govind Yadav, 45, from Solapur and Dhule ) Mahesh Ravindra Badgujar of Shirpur.
The officer said Yadav was related to the victim.
He said that during interrogation it was found that the victim forced the accused Yadav to marry her and transfer the property to her name.
An argument broke out between them, which led to the murder, the official said.
He added that Yadav had committed the crime with the help of his associate Badgujar.
