A 19 -year -old man from Ottawa is facing criminal allegations after a road racing meeting, during which two OPP officials were killed.
The Ottawa OPP says its aerial unit saw a large gathering of vehicles in the area of Moody Drive and Debley Road immediately after 11 pm on Friday.
A vehicle was seen burningout, followed by many cars engaged in drag racing.
The police tried to stop a vehicle, which ran away killing two officers.
No serious injuries were reported.
The driver of the vehicle was tracked and later stopped by the OPP.
As a result, a 19 -year -old Ottawa resident is now facing a list of allegations including:
- Two meanings of a peace officer attack with a weapon;
- Dangerous operation;
- Flight from peace officer;
- A motor vehicle race;
- Perform stunts;
- Harass the plate;
- Failed to display two plates;
- Color coating vague interior; And
- Drive vehicle is easily available with cannabis.
The driver had his license suspended for 30 days and the vehicle was installed for 14 days.
The driver is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
