The best coffee machines are on standby to provide barista-quality brews from the comfort of your kitchen. There are lots of different models out there, ranging from machines dedicated to espresso, to coffee pod machines and high-end models with built-ins. Espresso machines are similar to manual bean-to-cup styles, except you pour in ground coffee initially. These devices are often much smaller than bean-to-cup machines and cost less but give you a little less control over your coffee.
When it comes to pod machines, you simply load a coffee pod, press a button and hey presto. They’re convenient, quick, and compact but lack any real options for customizing the drink of your choice (plus, often, the pods aren’t eco-friendly).

how i tested
