YSRCP leader’s colleague arrested for ‘derogatory’ social media post

Amravati: The Andhra Pradesh Police on Thursday arrested Sheikh Khaj, a personal assistant of former Deputy Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party leader Amjad Basha, in a case related to alleged derogatory positions against Kadapa MLA Madhavi Reddy.

A Kadapa police team arrested Khaj in Hyderabad and took him to Kadapa. He was transferred to the Police Training Center on the outskirts of Kadapa, where he was being questioned.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Madhavi Reddy and her husband and TDP Polit Bureau member Srinivasula Reddy recently lodged a complaint at Kadapa One Town Police Station that Amjad Basha, her brother Ahmed Basha and Amjad Basha were against them against them.

The police registered a case against the three and investigated.

However, after the registration of the case, the transfer of Inspector Ramakrishna Yadav gave birth to a line.

Some local TDP leaders alleged that the police officer was removed for the names of Amjad Basha and his brother.

YSRCP has condemned Khaj’s arrest. It alleged that the coalition government was vengerated against its leaders. The party asked how long “illegal” arrests would continue.
