YouTube Music launches offline downloads for desktop users

YouTube Music has started rolling out a new feature that allows desktop users to download music for offline listening. Previously, mobile users mainly downloaded offline through the YouTube Music app. However, with the latest update, desktop users can now download music directly from the website. This feature allows users to enjoy their favorite tracks without an active internet connection, providing greater convenience and flexibility. Offline tracks can be accessed through a separate tab on the YouTube Music website.

Whatever file you choose to download, you can later download it via library > download Tabs on the YouTube Music website that allow further navigation by their genre. For example, in addition to individual music tracks, you can download entire albums, playlists, or podcasts, just like on the YouTube Music app.

To save the file for later use on the website, you can click the Download button. You will then find the “Downloading” indicator in the lower left corner of the screen.Once the download is complete, you can find the file at download Label. YouTube Music also states that “downloads can continue as long as your device has an active internet connection at least once every 30 days.” This is a standard requirement, even on mobile apps.

A recent report claimed that the song search feature in the YouTube mobile app is being rolled out to YouTube Music. This feature allows users to hum or sing a tune to help find songs faster, which is especially helpful when someone has trouble remembering the name, lyrics or even the artist of a song.
