YouTube is now slowly working for users if they use this important tool: What we know

YouTube’s war against ad-blockers has made news around the world and now the platform is taking further action against those using a tool that blocks ads while watching videos.

YouTube claims that blocking ads limits its ability to pay content creators and that’s why it wants people to stop using these tools or simply pay for a premium service that blocks out ads. Provides free content.

Recent updates reveal that many YouTube viewers are experiencing slow downs on the entire website if they have not disabled ad-blockers on their browsers. The platform is calling this suboptimal viewing. The fact that people are seeing a decline in the performance of a platform is not a good sign, at least when it is widely used and has been serving many people for decades.

YouTube is used by millions, if not billions, of people around the world, and for a long time the company has allowed people to use ad blockers so they don’t see ads before and between videos.

Recently, YouTube came up with a three-strike rule for videos as well, giving people enough time to stop using ad blockers and all on their profile for as long as they want to use YouTube for free. Advertisements can be shown on videos. The message clearly states that video playback will remain blocked until you whitelist YouTube from ad blocking apps/extensions or disable the feature completely.

Many people have also resorted to watching videos on other browsers like Microsoft Edge, which apparently have no problem with ad blockers doing their job. We’re not sure these glitches will last long but these efforts show that people are becoming desperate to avoid paying for YouTube, yet don’t want to see ads that can’t be skipped.

YouTube is probably going to move forward with its efforts to get people to stop using these blockers and that means more restrictions are inevitable in the near future.
