Youths accused with string of armed carriage in Hamilton: Police

A young man is facing a dozen allegations after investigating a series of armed acts in Hamilton.

The Hamilton Police Service announced that his bear (break and entry, auto theft, and robbery) unit arrested a young man who was believed to have been responsible for four separate violent incidents between 3 and August 5.

The arrest was made on Tuesday after carrying out a fourth victim at the tip of the gun in Central Hamilton. According to police, the suspect approached a closed vehicle, pointed to a gun at the driver, and forcibly stole the car.

Authorities tracked the stolen vehicle, and when the driver came to a stop, the officers went in and arrested the youth.

Police say the investigation linked the youth with three other incidents to be held on the evening of August 3. Earlier a person was included in the person selling his vehicle who was robbed at the tip of the gun. The vehicle was left nearby.

The same evening, another victim was allegedly encountered at his house by a suspect, who pointed to a gun on him and threatened to shoot before managed to escape for safety.

Later, a third person was reportedly robbed of his vehicle at gunpoint. The police participating in the area tried to stop the suspect, but they fled. The vehicle was also later recovered and returned to its owner.

The arrested youth, who cannot be nominated under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA), have been organized for bail hearing. Personal 15 allegations are faced, including three cases of robbery with a gun, robbery with intentions, four cases of possession of the order, five cases of youth probation, flying from police, and property gained by crime.
