According to the latest IMD bulletin, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected over many parts of Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema areas from November 4 to 6. Over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka, light to moderate rain is expected during November 5-7.
According to the IMD forecast, the low pressure area over east-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining Myanmar is expected to become more marked and move north-northwestwards along the Myanmar-Bangladesh coast within 24 hours.
A Western Disturbance is active as a cyclonic circulation over northern Pakistan and adjoining areas, with a trough in the middle and upper tropospheric westerlies.
The cyclonic circulation over Northeast Assam and Northeast Arabian Sea has weakened and become less marked.
Delhi will be partly cloudy with fog
Delhi will be partly cloudy on Tuesday and will be foggy in the evening. According to the IMD, the maximum temperature in the national capital is likely to range between 28 to 30 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to range between 16 to 18 degrees Celsius.
From November 5 to 9, Delhi will see mainly clear skies with fog or mist in the morning hours. On November 4, the air quality index (AQI) in Delhi was 311 at 9 am, putting the air quality in the ‘very poor’ category.
The weather office on Tuesday predicted thunderstorm with lightning in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall and snowfall was observed over the western Himalayan region on 4 and 5 November.
Additionally, light rain is likely over isolated areas of Punjab and Haryana during the same period.
Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty winds (speed reaching 30-40 kmph) is expected over Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 4 and 5 November.
The IMD on Tuesday predicted light to moderate rain/storm at a few places over Northeast India till November 7.
