Yellow alert for rain in Tamil Nadu; Cold wave warning in MP, Haryana and Chhattisgarh

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that cold wave conditions will continue in many parts of the country including Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Chhattisgarh in the next few days.

In its latest weather bulletin issued at 8:27 am on November 12, the weather office agency also predicted thunderstorms over Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.

There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall with thunderstorm and lightning at isolated places over Puducherry and Karaikal.

Yellow alert for Tamil Nadu

The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Tamil Nadu, predicting light to moderate rain at many places and isolated heavy rainfall with thunderstorms on November 12. The weather agency has predicted thunderstorms along with lightning in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.

Cold wave situation in MP and Rajasthan

As of Wednesday, cold wave to severe cold wave conditions prevail in parts of Madhya Pradesh. IMD has also predicted that cold wave conditions will prevail over isolated areas of South Haryana, Chhattisgarh and Northeast Rajasthan between November 12 and 15 and Madhya Pradesh between November 13 and 15. No significant change is expected in minimum temperatures across the country.

In a post on Twitter on Tuesday, the IMD said, “Cold wave conditions are very likely over isolated parts Madhya Pradesh, South Haryana, Chhattisgarh, and Northeast Rajasthan during 11–15 November. Stay warm, stay safe and take necessary precautions.”

The sky will be mainly clear in Delhi

Mainly clear skies and light fog are expected in the morning in the national capital over the next few days. The maximum temperature on Wednesday is likely to be between 26 to 28 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be around 10-12 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 27.7 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature was around 10.2 degrees Celsius.

Mumbai morning remained foggy
