Xi Jinping, Lula Step Up Meetings, Trump strengthened China-Brazilian relations with eyes

Beijing:

The government in Brazil said that Brazilian President Luiz Insio Lula Da Silva will travel to China since he took over in 2023 for his third meeting with President Xi Jinping next month.

The steady speed of bilateral meetings underlines warming relations with Brazil’s biggest trading partner, called a diplomatic “unavoidable” in Bascilia, as the world considers the unpredictable trade policies of US President Donald Trump.

“Natural route is to find options. China is one of them,” the diplomat said, who requested oblivion to speak independently, stating that the Brazil is also looking at the European Union to close a regional trade deal with the European Union and promote cooperation between the BRICS groups of major developing countries.

The diplomat said, “I would call it a policy of risk decrease. Today, there is a high level of risk in relationship with the United States, so it is a natural inclination to look for options.”

In Brasilia last November, Xi and Lula upgraded the situation of diplomatic relations and killed more than three dozen agreements to cooperate in infrastructure, energy, agrarian business and other strategic fields.

According to the Brazilian government, Lula is scheduled to attend a meeting between Chinese officials and Latin American and Caribbean leaders in Beijing on 13 May. The diplomats hope that Lula and Xi will hold private talks there.

They will re -meet Rio de Janeiro at the BRICS summit in July, confirming Xi’s presence. Xi has also expected to visit Brazil for the United Nations Climate Summit in November, in which the authorities are expected to include some 1,000 Chinese business leaders.
