CM Punk Ready to be the new cover star wwe 2K26.

“Every locker room I walk into now has a video game console,” Punk said. “I’m one of those old guys who looks at this and I’m like, this is crazy. This would never have happened in my day. But I don’t care either. I’d rather have them yelling and playing Xbox than doing cocaine or doing drugs or doing some crazy stuff. They play a lot of Madden, they play a lot of 2K, they play a lot of Tekken.”
The 47-year-old Punk, who left WWE following a painful breakup in 2014, has thrived in his second leg. Punk returns in 2023 after a two-game winless run in the UFC, facing Seth Rollin and Roman Reigns in a triple threat main event at WrestleMania last year.
Punk is also the headliner at the 2K Showcase for WWE 2K26.
“Not only did it highlight some of my better games and moments, but there was a big ‘what if?’ aspect,” Punk said. “We did a deep dive into what would have happened if I hadn’t left in 2014. I think it’s very interesting.”
Punk previously appeared on the cover of WWE ’13.
“It’s widely regarded as the absolute coldest, hardest video game cover ever created,” Punk said.
Versions of the game include King of Kings Edition, Attitude Era Edition, and Monday Night Wars Edition, which are scheduled to be released on March 6.
The King of Kings Edition centers on the career of WWE Hall of Famer and current WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque; the Attitude Era and Monday Night Wars Editions celebrate wrestlers from one of wrestling’s most popular eras, including stars like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan.
The standard edition costs $69.99; the Monday Night Wars edition costs a whopping $149.99.
While wrestling fans and gamers will most likely have popular punk as their first choice when playing 2K26, punk doesn’t have to be one of them.
“If I were to play 2K, I’d probably try to be Terry Funk,” Punk said. “I know what it’s like to play games as me. I don’t have to do that in a video game.”
