Women reached hospital after accident between bus and bike on London Bridge

A woman has been taken to the hospital after a collision between the bike and the bus outside London Bridge station.

City of London Police officers were called to the spot at around 8 am during the crowd on Wednesday morning, and all the north -east traffic closed the bridge.

As a result, Blacks Road was forced to close the Blacks Road between Scorsby Street and Memot Street, while emergency services responded to the incident.

Chief Inspector James Minni, City of London Police said in a statement, “Police officers of City of London are participating in a road traffic collision scene which includes a bus and a cyclist on London Bridge at 8 am.

“The bridge is currently closed for traffic on the north and we will ask people to escape from the area.

“A woman was rushed to the hospital by London Ambulance Service.”

Spokesperson for a London Ambulance Service: “We were called today (June 11) at 8.29 am for reports of a road traffic collision on London Bridge, SE1.

“We sent an ambulance crew, an incident reaction officer and a clinical team manager to the scene.

“Our first paramedics reached the scene in about five minutes.

“We treated a woman for a foot injury and took her to a major trauma center as a priority.”
