Police in Durham area say that a woman is in custody, and they are searching for a person as part of human trafficking investigation, when a woman contacted the police with police charges, she was forced into sex business.
Investigators say the woman met a man and a woman in Oshwa in February 2025, and in several weeks she was reportedly forced by the woman to sex acts with men in exchange for money.
Arrest warrants were issued for Tina Baker, 46, and Yavenord Hyacinthe, 43, Yvenord Hyacinthe of both Oshwa’s Oshwa.
Police say Baker was arrested on 3 July after a disturbance at a address near Bond Street and Ritson Road North.
Baker has been accused of several crimes including smuggling, forced imprisonment, forced recovery, attack and robbery in individuals.
Investigators say that Hyacinthe is wanted on similar allegations and lives on a large scale. Anyone is asked to contact the police with information about his hideout.
Police say they are worried that additional victims may occur.
