Woman accused of killing a three -year -old girl in Leeds

A 47 -year -old woman has been accused of killing a three -year -old girl Leeds,

There were emergency services Called Austthorpe Court in Leeds On Wednesday 30 July after a report of concern for the safety of a small child. His body was found in property along with a woman, who was rushed to the hospital for treatment and was later arrested on suspicion of murder.

47 -year -old Pippa McGrath has now been accused of killing the girl, West Yorkshire Police Said. She remains in police custody and will appear in the Leeds Magistrate’s court on Monday.

In a statement, the force said: “A woman who investigated the death of a three -year -old girl in Leeds has accused a woman of killing her.

“Pippa McGrath, 47 years of age, Ashthorpe Court, Leeds has been detained today (Monday 4 August) to appear before the Leeds Magistrate’s court before the morning session. The 47 -year -old was arrested by the authorities on July 30 after concern for the safety of a young child.

“The inquiry of the incident continues by the Homeside and the major investigation team.”

The police had earlier warned against “speculation” and said they were considering death as a “isolated incident”.

Last week, Stassey Etkinson, Detective Chief Inspector of the Homoids and Major Inquiry Team of West Yorkshire Police said: “When emergency services participated at a address on the Achorp Court, Leids, the body of a 3 -year -old girl was found inside yesterday.

“A woman was rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention at the address and today remains there in a stable position. She has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

“We are considering it as a separate event and not looking for anyone else in relation to it.

“I think such a sad incident will cause shockwaves in the local community and there will be speculation about what has happened. I will ask people that please let us check us and if you have any information that you feel that the investigation can help our inquiry to come in contact with the team.”
