weather office has confirmed what Britons can expect to see Ice On the forecast for the coming weeks.
As the days get shorter and colder temperatures rise, there is widespread speculation of possible blizzards and snowfall in parts of the UK. Some reports state the cities as far south London And Southampton may be affected.
but I am saying IndependentMet Office officials said the chance of snowfall was “minimal” and largely confined to the remote Scottish Highlands.
“At this stage, it looks unlikely to most people,” meteorologist Greg Dewhurst said. “There’s a little snow falling in the Scottish mountains at the moment, so anyone in the Cairngorms might see some on the summits up there.”

He said most people across the UK next week could actually expect “above average” temperatures of between 15 and 17 degrees, thanks to a mild southerly breeze. While conditions are expected to be wet, especially in the north and west, it will fall as heavy rain rather than snow, Mr Dewhurst said.
He added: “This weekend we may see a temporary coating of snow in the Scottish mountains, but it will look very light through Sunday night and throughout the week into Monday.” “So there’s nothing in our forecasts at this stage to suggest snow is on the way.”
Looking ahead to mid-November, Mr Dewhurst said there were signs of high pressure building, which could result in a drop in temperatures. “But high pressure often means dry weather rather than snowy weather,” he explained, adding that overall temperatures are expected to be near or above average.
“It may get a little colder by the end of the month in mid-November, but this will be more due to dry weather rather than snowfall.
“The risk of snow at this stage appears to be minimal and confined to the Scottish mountains.”
It comes as forecasters warned that weather conditions will remain “highly variable” this weekend. While some areas may see windy and dry conditions, other parts of the country may see heavy and stormy rain ahead.
