Wildfires in East Germany injure firefighters and emphasize withdrawal

Wildfire East Germany has severely injured two firefighters and forced the evacuation of more than 100 inhabitants.

Nearly 500 firefightings were struggling with fire, which broke on the border between Saxony and Brandenberg of Eastern states in Goharishyde on Tuesday.

A woman and a male fire fighter faced burning and was seriously injured.

The German news agency DPA reported that the fire has burnt hundreds of hectares (miles) and was still not under control on Thursday and a state police helicopter is equipped with special cameras to detect the embers’ pockets.

The firefighters were having difficulty getting closer to the flames because some parts of the forest fire were in a pre -military training area where there is a risk of ammunition.

The villages of Heidhausar and Nudorf and parts of Lichtens villages were evacuated. The residents received a mobile phone alert, directing them to identify and take cash only. Notice advised them to inform the neighbors and “cover your mouth and nose with instantaneous respiratory protection (fabric, cloth, surgical mask).”

District officials called people traveling by car to escape the area.

In recent times, severe heat has distressed the residents in Germany and other places across Europe and many wildfire have been set in the entire continent.
