Srinagar, July 11, KDC: PDP leader and MLA from Pulwama, Wahid Ur Rehman Para, has questioned the “silence” of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir at the upcoming memorial of July 13, historically seen as the day of martyrs.
In a post on the social media platform X, Para said that neither the Chief Minister nor any senior official of the Civil Secretariat or the Chief Minister’s Office has taken over the preparation or revival of the day.
He alleged that the rule around the day has now shifted to the Nawai Suh office of the National Conference. He said, “From Waqf resolutions to anti-BJP grandeur, now the remembrance of July 13 is also ‘stage-manezing’ from his party office, not from the office of @cm_jnk,” He said.
“If Farooq SB and Omar Abdullah SB can walk in Hazratbal pilgrimage, what is the fear that keeps them away from the graves where Sheikh Abdullah started his political journey?” Para further inquired. (KDC)
