During Diwali and Chas, people from all over the country take trains to return home. You’ll be surprised how crowded some train stations are. Even before the Bandra-Patna train reached Vapi railway station in Valsad district of Gujarat, platform number three was completely packed, leaving no room for footsteps. Boarding the Bandra-Patna train on the Monday before Diwali witnessed a war-like scene and everyone was eager to board the train. Let us tell you that this train stops at major stations in UP and Bihar. Because of this, there were more people on this bus. The crowds were so large on Monday that police were on alert to avoid any untoward incidents.

Passengers struggled to board the train
Passengers face difficulties while boarding each carriage. GRP police and RPF personnel are on high alert to ensure that no untoward incident happens at Vapi railway station. Police were also helping passengers enter the train. The crowd was so large because Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli areas in and around Vapi in Valsad district are adjacent to each other and have many companies where workers from multiple states work. Because of this, North Indians are more numerous here. There are no special arrangements for trains home for Diwali and Chhath Puja. It is worth noting that after the Mumbai incident, the railway authorities have been on high alert.
A large number of passengers gathered in Patna
The Rajya Rani Express train from Patna to Sahasa had so many passengers at Patna Junction that people could be seen entering the train through the emergency window. As soon as the train reached Patna from Sahasa, a fight broke out inside the train over seats. Arriving passengers hadn’t even disembarked when boarding agents started coming in. Girls were also seen entering through the emergency window and those who could not enter through the emergency window tried to grab seats by throwing handkerchiefs or towels through the regular windows. People say that this is a great festival and you have to go home no matter what. There are many people at the door, so you have to go in through the window.
