Who is Shailesh Kumar Devi? Meet Zoho Corp’s new CEO, who will succeed Sridhar Vembu

Sridhar Vembu, CEO of cloud software startup Zoho Corporation, announced in a social media post on the X platform on January 27 that co-founder Shailesh Kumar Davey will succeed him as the new group CEO.

Sridhar Vembu also revealed that he will take on the new role of chief scientist at the company, responsible for research and development initiatives.

“I will be resigning as CEO of Zoho Corp and taking up a new role as Chief Scientist with responsibility for deep research and development initiatives. Our co-founder Shailesh Kumar Davey will be our new Group CEO.” Vembu post on X Zhong said.

Who is Shailesh Kumar Devi?

Shailesh Kumar Davey and Sridhar Vembu are the co-founders of Zoho Corp. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Technology (B.Tech), a scientific study dealing with metals and their production and purification technologies, from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in 1992.

According to Shailesh Kumar Davey’s LinkedIn profile, he also holds a Master of Technology (MTech) in Industrial Management from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.

Before Davey was announced as Zoho’s new CEO, he served as Vice President of Engineering at ManageEngine, Zoho’s IT management division.

According to the news portal, Shailesh Kumar Davey has been a key figure in Zoho’s engineering process and has a background in network projects while working at Tata-IBM Analyzing India Magazine on Monday.

“We believe that optimizing everything from software to servers and data centers can provide tremendous value to our customers,” David told the news portal.

Sridhar Vembu steps down as CEO and becomes the company’s chief scientist as it seeks to expand into artificial intelligence and machine learning.

“The future of our company depends entirely on our ability to respond to R&D challenges,” Vembu said in a post on the X platform.
