Sometimes, getting someone to finish what they started is a harrowing creative process. So it’s not uncommon to hear actors complain about their directors forcing them to sign up for a new sport or even change their lifestyle to make them feel authentic in their roles, but occasionally, people become overly obsessed with what they What is happening, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the director of the 1998 film Kareeb, seems to have been through something similar.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra is currently basking in the huge success of his latest film 12th Fail. The filmmaker has made many classics like “Parinda”, “1942: A Love Story”, “Mission Kashmir” and many more. With his stellar track record and exceptional directorial skills, it is not difficult to believe that Vidhu Vinod Chopra expects absolutely perfection from his actors and leaves no stone unturned to bring back the required skills from his actors. However, while working on the film Kareeb, his collaboration with debutant actress Shabana Raza aka Neha seemed a bit too much. Bobby Deol, who stars opposite Shabana, spoke about the incident.

About two years ago, someone shared an old printed interview with Bobby Deol. In the interview, Bobby talked about the experience of filming the film. He said that although he had not experienced anything, Neha, the heroine as a newcomer, had to face the wrath of the director while shooting for certain scenes.

In one particular scene, Neha had to give her left hand to Bobby, but she was confused every time. Vidhu Vinod Chopra asked her to bite his right hand so that she would remember. But after 20 takes, when she failed to get the shot right, the director lost his cool and bit her right hand. Bobby said he was too shocked to react, while Neha was shaking with fear. However, she seizes the opportunity in the next shot.

“Kareeb” is Bobby Deol’s third film and Neha’s first film. The actress could not survive in the industry for long and later retired from acting after marrying Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee.
