Monday’s total solar eclipse swept across North America, mesmerizing and awe-struck viewers in Mexico, the United States and Canada.
While thousands of people marveled at the majestic sight of the moon passing between the Earth and the Sun, casting a temporary shadow on the land, Indians missed out on the experience.
Despite the geographical restrictions, people around the world shared their own stunning photos of the eclipse on X (formerly Twitter), capturing the stunning visuals of this rare event.
X user Marques Brownlee described the event as “the coolest thing I’ve ever seen” and shared two photos of the eclipse. One provides a distant view of the eclipse, while the other provides a zoomed-out version of the eclipse.

Photographer Gabe Wasylko from Cleveland, Ohio, shared a stunning photo of the solar eclipse, capturing the sun’s corona above the terminal building with flags fluttering in the wind.

space enthusiast ramy According to his X profile, Ammoun owns a telescope and he shared several stunning photos of the eclipse, in which the moon appeared vivid and clear with a blue tint. “Total solar eclipse a few minutes ago,” he wrote in the caption.

Fox 40 Chief Meteorologist Mark Tarello shared a stunning image of Earth from space, showing the eclipse’s shadow extending across the southwestern United States and the Pacific Ocean. Experienced astrophysicist Masroor H. Bukhari shared some images of this rare event. Among them, two were Intuitive Machines and NASA’s solar eclipses, which showed the sun’s streaks. Mr Buhari also shared an image showing the arms of the Milky Way hovering above Earth.

The next total solar eclipse will occur on August 12, 2026, and will be limited to parts of Greenland, Iceland, Spain, Russia, and Portugal.
