Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday assured people of India’s strong response to the Pahalgam terror attack and said that whatever people want will be under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The statement of the Defense Minister at the Sanskar Aware Festival in New Delhi indicated India’s determination to “answer” terrorists after the Pahgam terror attack.
Rajnath Singh also said that it is his responsibility to ensure security as a Defense Minister and they have to give a “reply” to “dare to attack our country”.
Rajnath Singh said, “As a Defense Minister, it is my responsibility to ensure the safety of the country’s boundaries with my soldiers. It is my responsibility to answer those people who dare to attack our country.”
On 22 April, 26 people were killed in a city attack by terrorists on tourists in Pahgam in Jammu and Kashmir.
After the terrorist attack, the central government has announced several diplomatic measures against Pakistan, such as closing the integrated check post (ICP) in the attic, suspending the SAARC Visa Rebate Scheme (SSES) for Pakistani citizens, 40 hours to return to their country and reducing the number of officers on both sides.
India signed the Indus Water Treaty in view of the Pahalgam attack in 1960.
