Here are some of the streaming offerings worth your time this week, as chosen by The Associated Press’ entertainment journalists: The second season of “Fallout” arrives on Prime Video, Season 5 of “Emily in Paris” arrives on Netflix and Peter Criss — the original drummer of Kiss — will release a brand new, self-titled album.
New films will stream from December 15-21
– The Jordan Peele-produced “Snow” (Dec. 19 on Peacock) takes gridiron hard knocks to bloody extremes. It stars Tyreek Withers as an up-and-coming quarterback whose mentorship with a seasoned champion (Marlon Wayans) becomes increasingly dark and surreal. In my review, I wrote that while “Him” has a good point to say about QB hero worship, “the problem is that he has exactly the same thing to say, over and over again.”
– in David McKenzie’s “Relay”, Rice Ahmed Plays the role of a fixer who runs a secret service that brokers deals between corrupt companies and potential threats. To maintain anonymity, he uses a “relay” telephone service, usually for people who are deaf or unable to speak, to conceal identity. The edge-of-the-seat thriller will stream on Netflix on Friday, December 12, following its theatrical release at the end of the summer. Lily James and Sam Worthington co-star.
— For a particularly charming December, you can spend your holidays with Wong Kar-wai. The Criterion Channel is hosting many of the Hong Kong filmmaker’s best films, including “Chungking Express,” “Fallen Angels” and “In the Mood for Love,” as well as his first TV series, “Blossoms Shanghai.” A hit in China, the 30-part series is set in the 1990s amid the opening up of the Chinese economy and the relaunch of the Shanghai Stock Exchange. New episodes start every Monday.

– In 2023, glam rockers Kiss bid farewell to one final performance at New York City’s famed Madison Square Garden. But this does not mean that his musical story ended here. On Friday, Peter Criss – the original drummer and founding member of Kiss, who has left and rejoined the group on several occasions – will release a brand new, self-titled album.

– The second season of “Fallout” drops Wednesday on Prime Video. Based on the hugely popular video game, it is a post-apocalyptic series set two centuries after nuclear war has destroyed modern civilization. In Season 2, Justin Theroux, Macaulay Culkin and Kumail Nanjiani join the cast which also includes Ella Purnell and Walton Goggins.
-Emily, of “Emily’s Inn” Paris,” will still be living la dolce vita in Rome when season 5 kicks off on Thursday. The show created by Darren Star follows the adventures of an American expatriate played by Lily Collins.
– A new documentary series called “Born to be Wild” follows six endangered baby animals who were orphaned or born as part of conservation programs. Narrated by Hugh Bonneville, it will stream on Apple TV from Friday, December 19.

– The video game business has wrapped up its big-release schedule for the holidays, so now is a good time to catch up on titles you may have missed — or started and didn’t have time to finish. It’s been a solid year for role-playing games, with Clashes Obscure: Expedition 33 and The Outer Worlds 2 leading The Associated Press’s top 10 list.
